Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages allowed her to land her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS station located in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as the sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She would also fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she is more responsible. She reported on The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was a host of sports for the morning program on Despierta America Deportes. The same job was held in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents are originally native to Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. There is also an older sister. The family moved into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In June of 2006, she took one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, but was already aware of what she was going to accomplish. The campus was stunning and provided the education she wanted. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the college. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her by his passion for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
